In this compact city garden a playful composition was created using three elements: gravel, planting and a pergola. The gravel contributes to a calm and natural appearance. A large boulder has been added as a water feature. The colourful planting takes centre stage in the garden and provides a natural and lively image throughout the year. The Corten steel border edge connects to the pergola which was made of the same material. The pergola consists of a grid with organically shaped steel ribbons. This forms a visual connection with the planting and at the same time invites you to look up and incorporate the sky into the garden’s composition. This way a garden was created in which natural elements blend together and imagination is sparked.
